New Canaan forecast: Showers to dampen early sunshine

Even though the sun is shining early this morning, more showers -- and isolated thunderstorms -- are possible later today, according to the National Weather Service.
The unsettled conditions will persist throughout most of the day under cloudy skies as the temperature rises to a high in the low-70s. There will be a south wind between 5 and 8 mph.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible tonight, and there will be patchy fog around the area. The temperature will dip to a low of about 60 degrees.
The forecast for tomorrow is similar: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, areas of fog before 11 a.m. and cloudy skies. The temperature will rise to about 70 degrees. Tomorrow night, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms as the temperature dips to the low-60s, the NWS says.
On Friday, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms, skies will be mostly cloudy and the temperature will hit a high in the upper-70s. There is a slight nighttime chance of showers, and the low temperature will be in the mid-60s.
The outlook for Saturday, the weather service says, is partly sunny and temperatures rising to the low-80s.
