Cloudy skies will prevail most of the day across southwestern Connecticut, according to the National Weather Service.

The daytime high temperature is expected to register in the mid-50s today, with an east wind 5 to 9 mph.

Tonight also will be cloudy, with a low temperature about 40 degrees and a southeast wind 5 to 7 mph.

Tomorrow should be partly sunny, with a high temperature in the low-60s.

There is a slight chance of showers -- with thunderstorms also possible -- tomorrow night, with temperatures dropping to a low in the mid-40s. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent, says the NWS.

Wednesday will be partly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-60s. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature about 40 degrees.

Thursday is expected to be cloudy, with a high temperature about 60 degrees. Night skies will also be cloudy as the temperature hits a low in the mid-50s.

Friday will be mostly cloudy, with a high temperature in the mid-60s. There is a chance of showers Friday night with a low temperature in the mid-40s. Odds of precipitation are 50 percent.

The outlook for Saturday, according to the weather service, is cloudy and temperatures in the 60s.
