Another sunny, cool autumn day is forecast today for southwestern Connecticut, but the outlook for tonight and tomorrow is less bright.
The National Weather Service says that today's high temperature should reach the low-60s, with a southeast wind 6 to 11 mph.
Overnight, however, clouds move in and showers are likely after 2 a.m. tomorrow. The nighttime low temperature will be in the low-50s, with an east wind 9 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent, the NWS says.
Tomorrow, showers -- as well as a possible thunderstorm -- are expected after 9 a.m. The daytime high temperature will be in the upper-60s, with a south wind 11 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.
Showers, and possibly a thunderstorm, remain possible before midnight tomorrow night as the temperature dips to a low in the mid-50s. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.
Saturday is expected to see clearing conditions, and the daytime high temperature is expected to rise to high in the upper-60s. Nighttime will also be clear with a low temperature around 45 degrees.
Sunday also should be sunny, with a high temperature in the low-60s. Sunday night will be clear with a low temperature in the mid-40s.
The outlook for Monday, according to the weather service, is sunny and temperatures in the mid-60s.
