Ho-hum. Boringly beautiful late-summer weather is expected to hold sway across southwestern Connecticut through the weekend and well into next week.
The National Weather Service says that today -- pretty much like the week ahead -- will be sunny and warm, with a daytime high temperature in the upper-70s and a west wind 5 to 9 mph.
Tonight will be clear, with a low temperature in the mid-50s and a west wind around 6 mph.
Friday also will be sunny, with a high temperature near 80 degrees. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the upper-50s.
On Saturday, there is a slight 20 percent chance of showers after noon, the NWS says. Otherwise, the day is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high temperature reaching about 80 degrees. There remains a 20 percent chance of precipitation Saturday night as the temperature dips to low in the low-60s.
Sunday will be mostly cloudy, with a high temperature in the upper-70s. Nighttime will be mostly cloudy, with a low temperature in the low-60s.
Monday should be partly sunny, with a high temperature about 80 degrees. The overnight low temperature will be in the mid-60s.
The outlook for Tuesday, according to the weather service, is sunny and temperatures in the 80s.
