Scattered showers lingering across southwestern Connecticut early today, the remnants of storms that socked the region overnight, are expected to give way to bright, brisk weather for the rest of the weekend.
After the rain clouds move from the region, the National Weather Service says the remainder of today will be sunny with a daytime high temperature in the upper-70s and a northwest wind 6 to 14 mph.
Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature around 50 degrees and a northwest wind 8 to 11 mph.
Tomorrow will be mostly sunny, with a high temperature near 70 degrees. Nighttime will be clear with the temperature dipping to a low in the mid-40s.
On Sunday, skies will be sunny, with a high temperature in the low-70s. Night skies will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-50s.
Monday also should be sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-70s. Monday night will be clear, with a low temperature about 50 degrees.
The outlook for Tuesday, according to the weather service, is sunny and temperatures in the 60s.
