The clouds and rain of recent days have cleared this Thanksgiving morning, and the National Weather Service predicts it will be the first day of a sunny and increasingly warm stretch for southwestern Connecticut.

Under today's bright skies, the daytime high temperature is expected to reach only about 50 degrees. A west wind will be between 6 and 8 mph.

Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low temperature around 40, the NWS says.

Tomorrow will be sunny, with a high near 58 degrees. Tomorrow night will be mostly clear, with the temperature falling to a low about 40 degrees.

Saturday will also be mostly sunny, the NWS says, with a high near 60. Overnight, some clouds will move in and the low temperature will be around 44.
