New Canaan forecast: April showers, no foolin'

No fooling. In the aftermath of overnight rain, there's still a chance of more precipitation later this first day of April in southwestern Connecticut.
The National Weather Service says there is about a 20 percent chance of scattered showers after 11 a.m., under mostly cloudy skies, as the temperatures rise to a daytime high in the upper-50s. There will be a west wind 5 to 10 mph, increasing to 11 to 16 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight should see clearing, but the temperature will drop to a low in the upper-20s and there will be a west wind 9 to 17 mph.
Tomorrow should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-40s. Nighttime will be mostly clear with a low temperature in the upper-20s.
Wednesday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-40s. Night skies will be clear, with a low temperature about 30 degrees.
On Thursday, skies will be sunny, with a high temperature in the low-50s. Skies turn cloudy at night, with a temperature registering a low in the upper-30s.
The outlook for Friday, according to the weather service, is cloudy, possible rain and temperatures about 50 degrees.
