It will be sunny and cold again today in southwestern Connecticut, according to the National Weather Service.

The daytime high temperature will rise only to the mid-40s, with a north wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Tonight should be partly cloudy, with a low around at or slightly below the 32-degree freezing mark.

Tomorrow promises to be mostly sunny, with a high near 45 degrees. Overnight, there is a chance of rain, mainly after 4 a.m., the NWS says, as clouds increase and temperatures fall to a low about 38 degrees.

On Thursday, rain is likely, mainly after noon. Skies are expected to be cloudy, with a high near 52 degrees. There is a also a chance of showers Thursday night, with a low around 42 degrees.

The outlook for Friday, the weather service predicts, is for mostly sunny skies and a high about 48 degrees.
