After days of unsettled weather that saw downpours periodically buffet the region, the National Weather Service predicts southwestern Connecticut will bask in sunny and warm conditions through the weekend.
Under bright skies, the daytime high temperature today will rise to the upper-70s, with a north wind 9 to 13 mph.
Tonight will be clear with a low temperature in the mid-50s and a southeast wind 5 to 7 mph.
Tomorrow will again be sunny and temperatures will crest in the upper-70s. Tomorrow night will be mostly clear, with a low temperature in the mid-50s.
Friday's forecast remains the same, with bright skies and temperatures rising to the upper-70s, the NWS says. Nighttime will be partly cloudy as the temperature dips to about 60 degrees.
Saturday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high temperature rising to 80 degrees. Night skies will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the low-60s.
The outlook for Sunday, according to the weather Service, is sunny and temperatures in the 70s.
