New Canaan forecast: A winter 'warm wave'

Today marks the start of a three-day winter "warm wave" for southwestern Connecticut, according to the National Weather Service.
The high temperature today -- tomorrow and Friday, as well -- will rise to the mid- to high-50s. It will also be breezy today, with a west wind between 5 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.
The day's sunny skies give way to clouds tonight, the NWS says, and showers are likely in the early-morning hours of tomorrow. The overnight low temperature will fall to about 40 degrees.
There remains a chance of rain tomorrow morning and early afternoon. Skies will be mostly cloudy and the temperature will be in the mid-50s. Overnight, rain is also likely, as the low temperature registers about 40 degrees, the NWS says.
Friday is also expected to see showers, as the temperature again rises to the mid-50s. It will also be a windy day, with a south wind 8 to 18 mph, becoming west and gusting as high as 32 mph. There remains a chance of showers Friday night.
The outlook for Saturday, according to the weather service, is partly sunny and breezy, with a high temperature near 45 degrees.
