With the season winding down, summer has saved some of its nicest days for this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Skies across southwestern Connecticut will be sunny today, with the brisk daytime temperature rising to a high in the upper-70s and a north wind 6 to 9 mph becoming east in the afternoon.
Tonight will be mostly clear, with the temperature dipping to a low of about 50 degrees and a south wind around 5 mph.
Tomorrow will be sunny, with a high temperature again about 80 degrees. Tomorrow night will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature about 60 degrees.
On Monday, there is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon, the NWS says. Otherwise, skies will be partly sunny, with a high temperature near 80 degrees. There is a slightly higher 30 percent chance of precipitation Monday night with a low temperature in the low-60s.
Tuesday there remains a 30 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly before noon. But most of the day should be sunny, the NWS says, the high temperature will be abut 80 degrees. Night skies will be cloudy, with a low temperature in the low-60s.
The outlook for Wednesday, according to the weather service, is possible showers and about 80 degrees.
