The New Canaan boys track team competed at Staples High School on Saturday against Staples, Bassick, Fairfield Ludlowe, Norwalk and Westhill.

New Canaan's Patrick Daly won the 1,000-meter run with a time of 2:43.10 and Henson Orser took third with a time of 2:52.50. Alex Spinu won the 600-meter run by a comfortable margin by clocking in at 1:27.90 and James Arliss came in fourth at 1:35.20. Kalan Lysenko came in sixth in the 1,600-meter run by clocking in at 5:06.10. Cameron Armstrong won the 300-meter dash with a time of 37.90 seconds. In the 3,200-meter run, Brant Hoffman came in second place with a time of 10:25.00, Isaiah Maisonette took fifth with a time of 10:59.30, and Spinu took seventh at 11:07.20.

New Canaan dominated the high jump, as Nelson Conover won the event, followed by Paul Templeton in second place, Kevin Macari in third place, and Max Wilson tied for fourth place. Conover also won the boys pole vault, and Austin Deery and Dylan Karnedy tied for sixth place. Conover, Macari and Alex Millisits took fourth, fifth and sixth place in the long jump. Alexander Farina won shot put and was followed in second place by Rami Hamdan.

Macari took fourth place in the 50-meter dash at 6.20 seconds, and Nick Musicco, Willie Gould, and Cameron Armstrong tied for fifth at 6.40 seconds each. In the 50-meter hurdles, Peter Baran took second place with a time of 7.80 seconds, and Grayson Cordes and Paul Templeton came in tied for fourth place at 8.20 seconds.
