The New Canaan High School varsity squash team faced off against Greenwich, one of the public school teams in the country on Saturday, Feb. 2.
The Rams were defeated 6-1 after some tough matches.
Kyle Finnican, playing in the No. 6 spot, was a 3-2 winner against Peter Russell. Killian Bubrosky, playing No. 1, participated in a highly-competitive match but lost 11-8, 11-5, 11-9 to Greenwich's Thomas Kingshott.
Grayson Bubrosky, No. 2 for the Rams, fell 3-2 against John Rohrbach of Greenwich. Hal Holappa, playing No. 3, had a tough competition, losing in a very close matchup to Greenwich No. 3 player Robert Rohrbach.
Christian Megherby (No. 4), Will Gruseke (No. 5) and Andreas Kjekstad (No. 7) also played competitive matches but were ultimately defeated by a strong Greenwich team team.
