"Winter Works: Mostly White," a new Art/Place exhibition, will feature New Canaan artist Elizabeth Nagle.
The show will run from Jan. 10 through Feb. 23, with a reception taking place on Sunday, Jan. 13, from 3 to 5 p.m.
Nagle, an Art/Place member, is primarily a painter and mixed-media artist, who also explores printmaking and sculpture. Her work has been seen in galleries throughout Fairfield County.
The recipient of a bachelor `s degree in fine arts from the San Francisco Art Institute, Nagle said, "I am exploring ways to create a magical atmosphere. My artworks are like windows to another place and time where one encounters images both personal and universal."
All of the artists exhibiting in the show will discuss their work at a brown bag lunch on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at noon.
Art/Place Gallery, 70 Sanford St., Fairfield, is open Thursday through Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. and during special performances at the Fairfield Theatre Company, with which it shares the space. For information, call 203-292-8328 or 203-374-9720 or visit www.artplace.org.
