New Canaan artist drawn to Bedford show

Constance Old, of New Canaan, is among the area artists invited to exhibit in Art Show Bedford Jan. 25 and 26.

Drawing more than 40 artists from Fairfield and Westchester counties, Art Show Bedford is now in its 41st year.

According to Susan Grissom, the show's co-curator, the focus is on "outstanding contemporary art at affordable prices." The exhibition includes paintings, prints, sculpture, photography and mixed media, displayed in the Fellowship Hall of St. Matthew's Church, 382 Cantitoe St., Bedford, N.Y.

The show kicks off with a gala preview party on Friday, Jan. 24, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., and the exhibition and sale continue Saturday, Jan. 25, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.,

and Sunday, Jan. 26, from noon

to 4 p.m. The Women of St. Matthew's Church traditionally have donated proceeds to around 21 charities each year.
