Elizabeth Nagle of New Canaan is among the 22 artists whose works will be featured through May 4 at Art/Place during its "Drawing Show," an interactive exploration of the concept "What is a Drawing."
The exhibition opens with a public reception on Sunday, April 14, from 3 to 5 p.m. Throughout the exhibition -- open Thursday through Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. -- people of all ages, including kids and teenagers, are invited to drop in and try their hand at drawing with the gallery's available art materials. No previous art experience or training is needed Still Life set-ups will be provided and parents are encouraged to draw along with their children. A Community Drawing Wall is also offered; everyone is urged to add their contribution and all drawing styles are welcomed.
"Draw Yourself Free" is a special free event for the community on Saturday, April 20. All generations are invited to drop in between noon and 4 p.m. Members of Art/Place, 70 Sanford St., Fairfield, will be on hand to offer encouragement and guidance.
