Finally playing with a full soccer squad of 11 players, the U14 New Canaan girls Red completed their undefeated season with their best offensive display, a 6-1 win at Weston.

Kylie Murphy and Emily Walshin led the offensive attack with two goals apiece, with Katie DeMarino and Jane Isherwood each netting one goal.

Lili Ferguson, Erin Williams and Sally Clayton supported the offense, while Clayton, Murphy, Sophie Salomon, Lindsay Miller, Julianne Reilly and Amanda Bauersfeld solidified New Canaan's stingy defense, which conceded only four goals in seven games. Bauersfeld, Murphy and Walshin also shined in goal, with Bauersfeld making several grabs, Murphy making a notable save of what looked to be a sure goal and Walshin stopping a penalty kick.

Rachel Beyer, Mia Carroll and Ana Zausner were absent for this game, but all three helped contribute during the season. Led by coach Habib Sylla, New Canaan won its second league championship in three seasons.
