In an act of vandalism, eggs were hurled at the garage, home and mailbox of a Mariomi Road home the night of Aug. 16, the 51-year-old homeowner reported to police the following morning. The attack left broken shells littered across the property, with raw yolk and egg white on the home's surfaces.

New Canaan Police Sgt. Carol Ogrinc said the Police Department generally sees an uptick in vandalism in the weeks preceding the beginning of school, as New Canaan teens get restless.
