Metro North has suspended rail service on the New Canaan line this afternoon due to felled trees on the tracks, a spokeswoman said. While train service is down, buses will shuttle riders from the station to and from Stamford following normal schedules. Delays are possible due to weather conditions, the spokeswoman said.

Felled trees and wires caused road closings on Hawks Hill Road and portions of Oenoke Ridge, Wahackme Road and South Bald Hill Road, according to police.

The police department has activated the Emergency Operations Center and the Community Emergency Response Team to aid response efforts at these locations.
