New Canaan Food Pantry low on items

The New Canaan Food Pantry is running low this season and is asking the community to donate nonperishable food.

Items currently needed include pasta sauce, canned fruit, peanut butter, potato sides, herbal tea, mayonnaise, cooking oil, hash, stew, brownie and cake mixes.

Pasta, beans and soup are not needed at this time.

Food donations may be left at the New Canaan Food Pantry, at St. Mark's Church, 111 Oenoke Ridge Road.

As always, financial gifts are appreciated. Checks may be made payable to New Canaan Food Pantry, 77 Main St., New Canaan, CT 06840.
