Frank Rowella Jr., CPA, managing partner of Reynolds & Rowella, a regional audit and accounting firm with offices in New Canaan, has won a Five Star Wealth Manager award in the category of taxation, one of a group of 14 taxation professionals.

The award represents less than 2 percent of candidates surveyed by Five Star Professional from among a group of 14,400 financial professionals throughout Connecticut. The candidates are registered with either the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority or the Securities and Exchange Commission. This is the second consecutive year that Rowella has been named an award recipient.

Candidates for the award must satisfy 10 eligibility and evaluation criteria. The average one-year client retention rate among this year's winners is 93 percent. Each winner services an average of 209 households and administers an average of $94 million in client assets. Five Star Professional polled candidates and consumers about communications. Sixty-three percent of consumers say they receive the right amount of communication from their financial professional, about three to four times each year.

Reynolds & Rowella provides audit, accounting and tax preparation services to corporations, businesses and individuals, as well as specialized services such as exit planning, business valuations, litigation support and financial and strategic planning.

Reynolds & Rowella has six partners, and another office in Ridgefield.
