NEW CANAAN — Police charged a 41-year-old North Salem, N.Y. man with drunk driving after he was pulled over for allegedly speeding on New Norwalk Road in the early morning hours of April 16.

Around 1:15 a.m., a patrol officer saw a car being driven by Joselito Quinones of Sugar Hill Road, going 58 miles per hour in a 45 miles per hour speed zone. The officer pulled over Joselito Quinones, of Sugar Hill Road, whose breath smelled like alcohol. Quinones failed a subsequent field sobriety test and was taken into custody for speeding and driving under the influence.

Quinones was taken to police headquarters where he gave a sample showing a blood alcohol content of .18 and posted a $42 bond. He was given a court day of April 28 and turned over to Norwalk police who had an active arrest warrant out for him.

Norwalk Police charged Quinones with second-degree threatening and second-degree harassment. His bond was set at $10,000 ahead of a April 17 court date.
