NSDAR chapter assists food pantry

Members of the Hannah Benedict Carter Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution, recently assisted in sorting and restocking the New Canaan Food Pantry shelves on May 12.

The food donations from residents filled 120 U.S. Postal Service boxes.

The organization was founded in 1890 to promote patriotism, preserve American history and support better education for our nation's children. Its members are descended from the patriots who won American independence during the Revolutionary War.
