NCHS seniors bring art to a whole new level

Artworks by New Canaan High School seniors will be on display beginning April 23, opening night of "Level UP!" the 28th Annual Senior Art Exhibition. The New Canaan High School gallery will exhibit senior work and feature 19 one-person retrospectives in a variety of media including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, graphics, digital media and video.
The Senior Art Show allows students to generate a one-person exhibit that is entirely their own creation.
NCHS's senior show is unique in that it challenges any senior to present his or her work inside their own space as person "retrospective" of art that can be drawn from anything the student has created throughout their high school years.
The organization of the exhibit is meant to draw attention to each student's individual portfolio and distinctive artistic style -- their personal "voice."
The following students will be presented in One Person Exhibits in the show: Alexandra Gottlieb, Alexandra Jones, Hayden Hane, Sky Mercede, Hannah Kirkpatrick, Zachary Seger, Kinley McKay, Julia Fleisher, William Gruseke, Riley Durkin, Eleanor Garrett, Lillian Engel, Daniela VillaSahaguian, Julia Diaz, Kayleigh Pace, Corinne Vietoresz, Danielle Meyers, OsazeWilson and Chloe Rippe.
