Libby Butterworth and Sara Hunt, of the New Canaan Beautification League, recently added the finishing touches to the 142 baskets prepared for Memorial Day weekend by Gregg's Garden Center and Landscaping.

The baskets grace the lampposts on Elm, Main and Forest streets and South Avenue.

Contributions to the NCBL underwrite the cost of the baskets. The New Canaan Department of Public Works water the plants throughout the summer months.
