Congratulations to the Connecticut Ice Cat U12 girls hockey team who are off to Nationals for the second year in a row. The girls ran the table in the round robin at the regional playoffs in Exeter, NH with victories over St Albans, VT, Casco Bay, ME and Manchester, NH to earn the No. 1 seed in the cross-overs. The girls outscored their opponents 11-3 during the round robin, which set up a Semi-final match up against rival Greenwich Skating Club. The Ice Cats played one of their best games of the year en route to a 5-1 victory over GSC and earned a trip to the Tier II Nationals in Anaheim, CA. The girls ended up facing Essex, VT in the finals and dropped a hard fought game 2-0. The team is coached by Mac Bud, Jamie Tropsa and Kayla Grace.
