Mount Vernon man charged with theft of Rolex

Police arrested a 31-year-old Mount Vernon, New York, man on a felony charge in connection with the theft of a $30,000 Rolex watch from Henry C. Reid Jewelers nearly three years ago.
On Nov. 19, 2012, according to New Canaan Police, Charles Moye entered Henry C. Reid Jewelers and asked to see a watch before allegedly grabbing it from a salesperson and running away without paying.
New Canaan Police were contacted by Glastonbury Police, who were holding Moye on an unrelated charge, New Canaan Police Lt. Jason Ferraro said. New Canaan Police charged Moye, of Second Avenue in Mount Vernon, with first-degree larceny.
Police later identified Moye as the suspect in the theft after working with Milburn Township, New Jersey, police who were able to partially identify a license plate belonging to Moye during an investigation of the theft of two other Rolex watches in a similar fashion.
In December 2014, Moye was arrested stealing hats and clothing from the Palisades Center mall by Clarkstown, New York police
