Open call auditions for the Magical Music Mini Singers will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, at The Studio, 26 Forest St.

Children entering grades 2 to 5 in the 2013-14 school year are eligible. Singers should prepare a short selection, approximately 32 bars, of an age-appropriate song that shows off their voice and personality, as well as bring sheet music for the accompanist.

The singers will be rehearsing on Sunday afternoons in New Canaan starting in September, performing in community and charity events in Fairfield County and Magical Music's Tunes in Times Square in New York City, and presenting the musical "Two Little Snowflakes" during the holiday season.

Magical Music for Life Foundation's recent second annual Tunes in Times Square, which included the Mini Singers, raised more than $27,000 for the production of more free downloadable music for children with autism and special needs, as well as for projects to improve the lives of children everywhere.

Magical Music for Life is a participant in the President's Volunteer Service Award and time spent with the singing group qualifies toward the award.
