Col. Peter J. Depatie will address the Senior Men's Club Friday, April 8, at 10 a.m. at St. Mark's Church. His will discuss the logistics of frequent deployments, the impact these deployments have on soldiers and families, and the mission the citizen/soldier National Guard has in Afghanistan.

Depatie commands the 103rd Air and Space Operations Group at Bradley Air National Guard Base in East Granby. He leads nearly 200 airmen, augmenting the 609th Air and Space Operations Center and U.S. Air Forces Central in providing command and control over coalition air component operations in the U. S. Central Command area of operations.

Depatie has commanded at the flight, squadron and group levels and has attained the level of Instructor Pilot. He is a command pilot with more than 3,500 military flying hours, including 115 combat hours in the skies above Iraq in both the A-10 and F/A-18.

He has completed four additional Middle East deployments to include participation in operations Southern Watch, Iraqi Freedom, as an A-10 pilot, and Enduring Freedom and New Dawn, as an AFCENT Battle Director and Deputy CAOC Director.
