Metro-North Railroad, which shut down service in both directions on the New Haven Line earlier this morning, has resumed a limited schedule as of about 10 a.m.

The rail service was sidetracked between Stamford and New Haven as of 8 a.m. because of a train disabled in Bridgeport by the winter storm.

The railroad, as it planned to earlier today, has resumed running on a Sunday schedule.

Service on the Waterbury and Danbury branches, however, are still suspended.

During the blizzard that hit the region a day after Christmas, Metro-North service also was completely sidetracked for more than a day.
