Mentors foster safe school climate

  • The Saxe Middle School RAMs - Recognized Allies & Mentors - recently completed a third assembly presentation to their peers. The group of seventh-graders was formed last year when the members volunteered to participate in training sponsored by the Anti-Defamation League. The training and the subsequent work at school helped to further develop their understanding of teenage social dynamics and provided them with the skills to serve as "allies" - students who "step up" and actively support positive peer interactions and a safe school climate.
