The Religion & Race in America education series continues on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan, 178 Oenoke, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Common Room.

This session, led by the Rev. Paul Gilmore, is titled "The March on Washington: Reflections from Those Who Were There."

In addition to sharing firsthand accounts of the 1963 march, panelists will discuss how the clergy in New Canaan encouraged their congregations to reaffirm their Christian belief in the rights and dignity of people regardless of race.

The session will also hear the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. address racism in his "I Have A Dream" speech.

Admission is free. Buffet-style dinner is served at 5:15 p.m. Dinner costs $10 per person and a reservation is requested. For reservations, call 203-966-0002.
