'Many Faces of Philip Burke' to kick off series at Carriage Barn

Philip Burke, an international artist, will present a slide show using a varied selection of his work, including published, private-commission and personal pieces, at the Carriage Barn Arts Center on Thursday, Jan. 31.

His appearance kicks off the winter/spring lecture series at the arts center at Waveny Park, 681 South Ave. The event is scheduled to begin with a wine reception at 6:30 p.m.

For more than 25 years, Burke has been capturing the minds and hearts of rock and roll and movie fans, sports enthusiasts, politicos and the general public.

His work has been featured in major publications such as Vanity Fair, the "New" New Yorker, and Rolling Stone magazine, where he was the featured artist for seven years.
