A 65-year-old former Summer Street resident reported a larceny May 23 at 3:32 p.m.

The complainant told police a moving company picked up all of his belongings Nov. 16, 2011, and placed it in a storage facility in New York. He moved to Norwalk and had his property delivered there April 10.

However, when he conducted an inventory, he found he was missing $62,300 worth of items. Police said he was working out reimbursement from the moving company, but was concerned about four of the missing items, which were firearms. The four firearms were valued at $9,750 and included three rifles and a shotgun. One Winchester rifle was valued at $750, another Winchester rifle at $4,500, a Mannlicher Schoenauer rifle with a scope at $2,500 and a Shauer 12-gauge shotgun was valued at $2,000.

The matter is still under investigation.
