A Brooklyn, New York, man was charged with third-degree larceny last week for stealing more than $2,000 worth of medication from Walgreens Pharmacy on Pine Street last August.
Leon Ballard, 29, of Green Ave., Brooklyn, was arrested by warrant at Norwalk Superior Court after police were notified he was being held on the New Canaan warrant, according to Police Lt. Jason Ferraro.
According to police, last Aug. 18 a manager at the store was going though surveillance video from the day before when he observed a male putting a number of items into two bags and walking out of the store without paying, police said at the time.
