Ryan Anders, 20, of 116 Juniper Road, New Canaan, received infractions May 29 for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana.

An officer patrolling the schools in the area of South Avenue and Farm Road at 10 p.m. saw a vehicle abruptly leaving the rear parking lot of Saxe Middle School, according to the report.

Police said the officer stopped the car on Farm Road near Old Stamford Road and smelled an odor of marijuana as he spoke to the driver.

The officer then searched Anders, who was a passenger in the vehicle, as well as the driver and the car, according to the report. Police said the officer found a backpack in the trunk of the car, where he saw a grinder with a small amount of marijuana, rolling papers and two smoking pipes. Police said the items belonged to Anders.
