Man charged with marijuana possession

Jonathan Acuna, 21, of Stamford was issued an infraction for marijuana possession May 3 at 8:18 p.m.

Police pulled over Acuna after his car was seen headed south on Ponus Ridge Road with a defective headlight. Police dog Zira was on the scene and indicated there were drugs in the vehicle. Acuna handed the officer a plastic bag with less than half an ounce

of marijuana from the center console.

Acuna was charged with possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana and issued a verbal warning for the defective headlight.
