Antonio Conte, 33, of Bethel and Norwalk was served a warrant while appearing in Norwalk court June 30.

Police got the warrant in relation to a burglary attempt on Carter Street that took place on Aug. 11, 2008. Officers were able to extract blood, hair and tissue samples on the jagged edge of some broken glass to send to the state lab for analysis. The results of the tests came in to police May 20, which connected to Conte. He was charged with sixth degree larceny and third degree burglary, though nothing appeared to be missing from the house.

He did not post a $25,000 bond. He appeared in court June 30 and remains in custody.
