Police arrested a

42-year-old Pleasantville, N.Y., man for criminal violation of a protective order after a verbal dispute with his ex-wife at St. Aloysius' Roman Catholic Church, 40 Maple St., on May 10, according to police.

The ex-wife reported the incident on the afternoon of May 10, and told police she had a verbal dispute with Vito A. Luciano, according to New Canaan Police Sgt. Carol Ogrinc.

The woman told police that a verbal dispute occurred at the church at about 11 a.m. which became loud, Ogrinc said. When the couple moved outside and continued arguing, the woman told police Luciano pushed her. But she was not injured, Ogrinc said.

Luciano was charged with second-degree breach of peace and violation of a protective order, Ogrinc said.
