Edward G. Wright, 25, of Tavares, Fla., was arrested for possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana at 11:55 p.m. on Feb. 20 while also having two juveniles in the vehicle.

During a normal patrol, police found Wright parked by the baseball fields in Mead Park. When an officer approached the vehicle, he noticed a haze of smoke and a strong odor of marijuana. Wright handed the officer a cup of five partially-smoked joints and the officer also found a partially-smoked blunt on the floor of the vehicle.

Wright was released on a promise to appear in court on March 3. Police did not comment on whether the 15 and 16-year-old teenagers in the car will also be charged. Police are expected to meet with the juveniles' parents.
