Lynda.com, an online resource that provides courses in the form of high-quality video tutorials on topics ranging from business skills to photography, has just been added to all of the public computers at the New Canaan Library.
Library members can also access the resource from their own laptops when at the facility. Users will need to provide their own headphones to minimize disruption for fellow library users.
"Lynda.com is an incredible resource and we are very excited to add this to our learning options for our members," Jon Eriksen, manager of adult services, said. "Lynda.com is vast in scope and we hope our members will appreciate this excellent option for individualized and self-paced training."
Individuals who access Lynda.com will be able to choose from more than 2,000 videos tutorials and courses, covering a wide range of courses and areas of interest. From new software and technology to the creative arts and hobbies, Lynda.com offers relevant, high-quality video tutorials taught by industry experts.
The information desk or a digital services member will assist users.
