Literacy Volunteers, a program of Family Centers, is offering vocational training and English courses for all Fairfield County residents.
A job skills training program for women ages 18 to 45 will focus on preparing participants for a career in the customer service, computer and office management industries. Participants will receive a certification in these fields upon completion. General job readiness training, including job search techniques, resume writing and interview skills, also is available.
Literacy Volunteers also will provide English language instruction for high to intermediate adult English as a second language learners.
All courses are free and will take place at Family Centers' offices, 60 Palmer's Hill Road, Stamford. Space is limited and registration is required.
