New Canaan Library's third annual Books, Blues & BBQ will feature music by Tangled Vine.

The event takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, May 30, under tents at the library grounds. The event will support New Canaan Library.

Tangled Vine plays a mix of rock, soul and rhythm and blues.

"Go ahead and work up an appetite," Holly Parmelee, one of the event's three chairwomen, said, "because Stamford's own Dinosaur Bar-B-Que will serve its award-winning barbecue throughout the evening."

In addition to Parmelee, the chairwomen are Maya Frey and Alicia Wyckoff, all of New Canaan.

Susan LaPerla, the library's programming director, said the co-chairmen have become "a large part of the success of the library's fundraising events, and we are grateful they have come together again to provide this additional support to what is sure to be a special evening."

Tickets start at $150 and can be purchased by visiting newcanaanlibrary.org.
