No accidents or disabled vehicles have been reported in New Canaan so far, police and fire officials said Thursday afternoon.

As of 1 p.m., there have been no reports of power outages, officials said.

New Canaan has seen 12.8 inches of snow, according to a National Weather Service report early Thursday afternoon. The town will see some rain and sleet before 3 p.m., before snow starts falling again, possibly mixed with some rain, the National Weather Service said. Wind gusts today are as high as 37 mph.

More snow and sleet tonight will bring another 3 to 5 inches to New Canaan, the National Weather Service said.

New Canaan Public Schools and offices are closed today due to the storm.

The New Canaan Country School, Town Hall, senior center, library and the YMCA are also closed.

The Board of Finance special meeting that was scheduled for 7:30 p.m. has been canceled.
