I have a voice -- or at least that's what my friends tell me. You can sometimes catch me singing at South End on a Wednesday night or with one of the adult programs at School of Rock.
However, it transpires that I don't really have a voice at all. I am a permanent resident of this fair land, as I have a green card, and I am also a homeowner in our wonderful town of New Canaan, but I am ineligible to vote in any capacity, whether it be for the next president, members of our Town Council or even for whether we wanted sidewalks on Main Street. So "Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears ..." and please be my voice in the upcoming elections for Town Council and vote for Kathleen Corbet, Sven Englund and Jeanne Rozel.
I have met and spoken with both Kathleen and Jeanne and was very impressed by them. Together with Sven, they have a deep breadth of real life experience in the fields of corporate management, engineering and teaching -- the sort of diversity that can only be beneficial when wide reaching decisions need to be made that will affect us all.
