A 47-year-old Ponus Ridge Road resident reported a larceny Dec. 16 at 10:31 a.m.

For the past month, the complainant noticed several items missing from her home, including clothing, handbags, electronics and jewelry including a diamond engagement ring. She told police she would notice items missing when the housekeeper would come and go.

Police investigated the complaint and found that the housekeeper Vilma Guevara, 22, of Bridgeport had taken $1,000 worth of items. After police questioned Guevara, she returned all of the items back to the complainant.

She was charged with sixth degree larceny and posted a $1,000 bond. She will appear in court Dec. 28.
