New Canaan Police were notified Thursday, July 26, at 11:13 a.m. of items missing from a for-sale house on White Oak Shade Road.

The complainant, a 55-year-old realtor, told police she noticed items missing during a house tour with prospective buyers July 25.

According to the police report, items missing included two 60-inch flat-screen TVs by Sony and Sharp, valued at approximately $2,000 each; two 45-inch flat-screen Sony TVs, approximately $1,200 each; a 30-inch flat-screen Sharp TV, approximately $500; two small blue chairs, approximately $300 each; a blue- and beige-striped couch, approximately $1,700; and three mattress and box spring sets, approximately $3,000 total.

The complainant also told police workers and prospective buyers had been entering the house, which was left unlocked. Police determined there was no forced entry into the home.

Police said there is no exact date when the property was last seen prior to July 25. However, it is estimated the larceny took place within a one-week period.
