LIS plunge Jan. 1 to benefit Kids in Crisis

The second annual Old Greenwich Polar Bear Plunge and 5k run Jan. 1 will benefit Kids in Crisis.

Following on the heels of last year's successful event, the Old Greenwich Polar Bear Plunge returns and adds a 5k race.

The plunge and run will take place at Tod's Point in Old Greenwich. The 5K run and walk through Tod's Point will take place at 10:30 a.m, followed by the plunge in Long Island Sound at noon.

Admission to the 5k run/walk is $20 for adults and $10 for children 17 and under. Admission to the plunge is free, but a donation is suggested.
