Susan Marcoux Klehm has been named supervisor of assisted living services for The Village at Waveny Care Center.

Waveny Care Network's assisted living residence is dedicated to caring for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of memory impairment.

Klehm, a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in nursing, will be responsible for providing leadership for Waveny's assisted living nursing team and will play an active role on the organization's management team.

"I am extremely pleased to have Susan join us," said Elyse Dent, campus administrator for Waveny Care Network. "With her depth of experience related to older adults and proven record as a team-builder, she will be a strong role model and leader for our assisted living team. I know that our nursing staff, management team and all whom we serve will benefit from her guidance, input and direction."

With more than 30 years of clinical and managerial experience in patient care, Klehm most recently served as nurse coordinator for the Town of New Canaan, where she assessed, coordinated and managed the health-care needs of seniors and worked alongside families, physicians, visiting nurse agencies, hospital discharge planners and social workers to ensure quality care.

Klehm's professional experience also includes serving as staff nurse for three local adult day programs, nurse for St. Luke's Parish Pre-School of Darien and Darien Public Schools, and head nurse at White Plains Hospital Medical Center of White Plains, N.Y.

"I look forward to working with the residents, families and staff throughout Waveny Care Network," said Klehm. "The Village has a tremendous reputation for providing exceptional memory care and my goal is to maintain and enhance that standard. It is a wonderful opportunity to be able to work with such a superb team that shares the same goal of providing exceptional care for the residents at Waveny."
