The Kiwanis Club of New Canaan recently awarded scholarships to students Eugene Constandaki, Samuel Kramer, Graham Miles, Lauren Perone and Madison Yancy.

"Kiwanis is pleased to award a certain number of merit scholarships to outstanding students each year," Jerry Miller, treasurer of the Kiwanis Club, said. "Each of these students has exemplified the characteristics that Kiwanis stands for, especially their generosity in giving back to the community."

Constandaki will be attending the University of New Hampshire; Kramer, George Washington University; Miles, Florida Gulf Coast University; Perone, Susquehanna University; and Yancy, Wellesley College.

During the presentation luncheon, members, guests and scholarship recipients heard from guest speaker First Selectman Rob Mallozzi. Mallozzi presented updates on the Town Hall renovation, Main Street sidewalk status and various program and financial consolidation efforts.
